365/7 - week seventeen - sunshine of your love

This weekend has been absolutely glorious!

Everything just looks and feels different when the sun shines. Glasgow! just looks and feels different when the sun shines.

Paul and I sat in the park for hours this weekend, doing nothing. It was bliss. We people watched, had a bite to eat, Paul snoozed for a bit, I took my shoes off (I love being barefoot and feeling the grass under my feet) and took some photos...there is no other way I'd rather spend my day.

I've made a little 'sunshine soundtrack' on my iphone for my walk to work (now that the sun is shining, I've ditched the car) and started it off with one of favourite songs... this is it. enjoy.

365/7 week sixteen - lois & rachel

This weekend I joined my sister and brother-in-law in the park with their family... my nieces Lois and Rachel, and nephew Alfie to take some family portraits.

We just wandered around the gorgeous Pollock Country Park with me shooting the girls and Alfie messing around. These photos of Lois and Rachel are some of my faves. The girls are really close and have a great laugh together and I think I've been lucky enough to capture that.

But I do get a little freaked out at how old both of them look in these shots...it starting to make me feel old!

365/7 week fifteen - holga-tastic

I decided to revive my holga to trial it out over the past few weeks. I took it to a wedding, wandered around Millport with it, then took some random shots around the house and whilst out and about.

It's tough to get the right focal distance with it... but sometimes I think that adds to the image. I just took a point & shoot approach (or asked Paul to point and shoot!) and these are the results.
