Lisa & Scott returned to Lisa's roots to tie the knot in Skye. There was nothing that was going to stop me from shooting this wedding (even an overnight 5 hour drive from Kelly & Shaun's wedding in Edinburgh the day before!). The prospect of shooting in Skye was enough but add to that the ceremony being on a boat and the promise of a great party in a local hall... it was most definitely going to be something pretty special!
There were so many great moments for me when shooting this wedding. The journey to the boat from Portree to the Kyle of Lochalsh on the beautiful vintage bus with all the girls was so much fun and such a great start to the day... and when the boat stopped the engine in the middle of the water giving us spectacular views over to Skye as well as complete peace and tranquility (the water was beautifully calm) in order to have the ceremony was pretty special. Our journey back to Portree, just Lisa, Scott, the bus driver and me was fab too. I felt I was getting a private tour of the island, stopping off at some stunning locations for photos on the way back to the reception in Portree.
Just a pretty amazing day all round. It's safe to say I would most definitely make that journey again... :-)
